A $25,000 reward will be offered in the case of a cyclist injured in a hit-and-run crash involving a minivan last month in Griffith Park.

Cyclist Damian Kevitt was dragged about 600 feet after he was struck by the minivan driver Feb. 17 near Zoo Drive and the 5 Freeway. Kevitt was westbound on Zoo Drive at about 11:30 a.m. when the minivan driver turned left, struck the cyclist and continued south on the 5 Freeway.

The minivan was described as an early model gray Toyota Sienna with a "For Sale" sign in the rear window. Witnesses told police the driver accelerated before Kevitt was dislodged from the minivan.

Call 323-259-2010 to provide information about the case. Los Angeles City Councilman Tom LaBonge and California Highway Patrol officials are scheduled to announce Monday morning the $25,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the investigation.
