Investigators are reviewing surveillance video after a "high-end" optical store was burglarized early Saturday in Glendale.

Blue Eyes Optical was left in disarray after a group of thieves stole up to $200,000 in merchandise, store owner Gor Vartanyan said. Police were not yet able to confirm his estimate.

High-definition surveillance footage shows several people clad in black hoodies and sweatpants ransacking the store around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Vartanyan estimates the group consisted of seven people.

The subjects can be seen smashing display cases, swiping handfuls of optical wear and placing the designer glasses in large bags.

"This is the only source of income for my family, a family of five," Vartanyan said. "It's just devastating."

Police are reviewing the store owner's surveillance footage, but the perpetrators are "unidentifiable at this point," Glendale Police Department Sgt. Kevin Hirano said.

The owner posted the video of the crime to the store's Facebook page asking the public to share the video.

This is not the first time the West Wilson Ave store has been burglarized, Hirano said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Glendale police at 818-548-4840.
