Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a vacant home in the San Fernando Valley used to hold a 10-year-old girl captive after she was taken from her Northridge bedroom on March 27.

The home may be in the Northridge, Canoga Park or Winnetka areas, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (PDF).

Between 1 and 3:30 a.m. on March 27, a 10-year-old girl was taken from her bed and driven around the San Fernando Valley. Two men are believed to have been involved in the abduction.

Daniel Martinez, 29, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to kidnapping and burglary. Tobias Dustin Summers, a 30-year-old parolee, is wanted in connection with the kidnapping and remained at large Wednesday evening.

Though the exact timeline is unclear, police said the 10-year-old girl was held at an abandoned home before being dropped off a Kaiser hospital in Woodland Hills.

She was found barefoot and wounded at a Starbucks about a mile away from the hospital, nearly 12 hours after she was reported missing.

Authorities said the girl described the home as having a single story with wooden entry gates on both sides of the house and an attached garage on the right side as you face the property.

The garage has a metal roll-up door and there is a small bathroom window with a view of the street on the left, front side of the house.

The night she went missing, the 10-year-old told detectives that she could see police cars and hear a helicopter, which was not directly overhead, from the bathroom window.

The room has a built-in tub with a mosaic patter of dark brown, tan, black and white tiles on the walls surrounding it. It also has a showerhead without a curtain or door, and two removable mirrors above double sinks.

Empty of furniture, the house has a mix wood, carpet and tile floors, and a sliding door in the back. A white "for sale" sign with blue lettering was spotted in the garage, authorities said.

Anyone with photos of what potentially could be the vacant home used during the kidnapping is asked to email the pictures to NorthridgeKidnap@gmail.com, and include "DR #1317-08107" in the message.
