The men's NCAA basketball tournament resumes Thursday night in Los Angeles when Ohio State takes on Arizona and Cinderellas La Salle and Wichita State face off at Staples Center.
The Buckeyes and Wildcats play the first game, scheduled for 4:47 p.m. The second game is scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. The games mark the first NCAA Division I men's basketball regional contests in Los Angeles since 1994.
Tickets went on sale in October and sold out. Some tickets released Wednesday can be purchased at the NCAA web site or the Staples Center box office.
The last time a regional round game was played in LA was in 1994 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. Thursday's games will be the first played at Staples Center.
Fan festivals are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday; 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. Saturday at Nokia Plaza outside Staples Center. The events include an outdoor basketball court and a basketball clinic with the Pepperdine men's team.
Winners of Thursday's games will meet Saturday. The winner of that game will advance to the Final Four in Atlanta.
