Two teenage girls remain hospitalized Wednesday after they were struck by a driver identified as an ex-boyfriend of one victim.
The hit-and-run happened about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 11500 block of Hunnewell Avenue. Both girls were hospitalized, but details regarding their conditions were not immediately available.
Police are searching for Miguel Angel Sanchez, accused of running down the girls. The 18-year-old man arrived at his ex-girlfriend's house with another girl, who exited his vehicle and began fighting with the ex-girlfriend, according to Los Angeles police.
When more family members came out of the house, the Sanchez drove away and struck the two girls, both 17, investigators said. He was driving at silver 2007 Dodger Charger with dealer plates.
Family members said the ex-girlfriend is pregnant. She suffered a punctured lung and other serious injuries, a relative told NBC4's Jacob Rascon.
