A knife-wielding man was shot and killed by Pomona police Monday night after allegedly refusing to put down his weapon.
Officers with the Pomona Police Department responded to the 500 block of Carruthers Court about 8:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a family disturbance, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
An officer used a stun gun on the man, but he did not put the knife down, authorities said. The man was then shot and transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
