A North Hollywood man accused of murdering her girlfriend, who tumbled out of a fast-moving car onto the Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar and was killed by oncoming traffic, appeared in court Monday.
Ricardo Jimenez's arraignment was delayed until Nov. 21.
The 26-year-old turned himself in to the Glendale Police Department last month after Maria "Josie" Jimenez, 22.
She either fell or was pushed out of her red Toyota Corolla, believed to have been driven by Jimenez, police said.
Josie was estranged from her husband and carrying out a public relationship with Jimenez, police said. She died on the Foothill Freeway in Sylmar Aug. 29.
Police believe the pair had been arguing at a tattoo parlor hours before Josie died, with Jimenez "causing a disturbance and berating Josie in front of others,'' LAPD Lt. Paul Vernon said.
