Severed Foot Found Inside Puma Sneaker at SF Beach

The San Francisco Medical Examiner is investigating the discovery of a severed human foot found Sunday morning on Ocean Beach inside a green-and-black mesh Puma running shoe, size 11 1/2.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports the discovery was made by the National Park Service beach patrol near Taraval Street. Inside the sneaker was part of a foot.

 An investigator said the foot has probably been in the water for a while.
