After the arrest of an Inland Empire substitute teacher who allegedly had sex with a minor, police were asking for the public's help in finding additional victims.
Jason Stubbs, a 26-year-old Eastvale resident, was arrested on Wednesday after police learned a few days earlier that he allegedly had sexual contact with a minor female, according to a release by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The man worked as a substitute teacher for the Fontana School District in San Bernardino County, and previously the Jurupa Valley School District in Riverside County, the release stated.
Stubbs used social media to communicate with and meet minors, investigators said, and they believe he may have additional victims.
Eastvale police responded to a school in the Fontana School District when they located Stubbs, the release stated, but did not specify which school.
He is charged with three felony sex crimes involving a minor, including sodomy with a person under age 14 with force and sex penetration by force.
Stubbs posted $55,000 bail and was released from the Robert Presley Detention Center on Thursday, and he is expected in court on Oct. 16.
Anyone with information should call Joel Pabelico at the Eastvale Police Department's Jurupa Valley Station at 951-955-2600. Citizens may also submit an anonymous tip using the Sheriff's CrimeTips online form.
