Los Angeles police were investigating a suspicious device found in a Northridge mall parking structure on Saturday night, authorities said.
The device was discovered about 9 p.m., after the Northridge Fashion Center (map) was closed. Authorities ordered the evacuation of the area and called in a bomb squad.
Additional details were not immediately available.
