A man suspected of fatally shooting his wife outside a Montebello restaurant turned himself in to police a day after the death.
Arthur Andrew Andrade, 29, has been sought by authorities since the victim, Soria Esperanza, was shot multiple times at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday in a parking lot in front of the restaurant where she worked.
Adrade, a Tustin resident, turned himself in to the Whittier Police Department at 1 a.m. Sunday, according to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. His bail was set at $1 million.
Esperanza, believed to be a resident of East Los Angeles, was allegedly shot by her husband, from whom she was separated, in the 100 block of West Washington Boulevard. The couple were arguing when Esperanza was shot multiple times in the chest, authorities said.
Andrade allegedly then fled the location in a dark-colored vehicle, and authorities asked for help finding him, saying he was "armed and dangerous."
The murder weapon and getaway vehicle are still missing, police said.
Andrade was being helf on $1 million bail by the Montebello Police Department, and was due in East Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday, according to the Sheriff's Department's online inmate records
