A small grass fire alongside the 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles caused a traffic backup but posed no immediate threat to structures, authorities said.
The blaze began about 3:45 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway just west of City Terrace. Officials closed at least two eastbound lanes as they fought the fire, but reopened the lanes shortly after 5 p.m.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
