A pedestrian was killed Thursday after a brief chase and officer-involved shooting in Santa Ana.
The male pedestrian was struck and killed when the pursuit driver crashed near Flower Street and MacArthur Boulevard (map), according to police.
At least four people who ran from the vehicle are in custody. Details regarding what prompted the pursuit were not immediately available.
The pedstrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pursuit began near the 1000 block of West Central Avenue, less than two miles north of the crash.
