A missing Fontana woman's estranged husband led detectives to Chino, where they discovered a body Thursday afternoon, police said.

"The body has not positively been identified as Lorna Lopez, however, based on the totality of the circumstances detectives feel confident that it is her," the Fontana Police Department said in a news release late Thursday.

A 40-year-old mother of four, Lorna Lopez went missing with her estranged husband, Victor Lopez, on Tuesday morning.

A surveillance camera at an ATM captured an image of Victor Lopez later that day.

Evidence of "foul play" in the woman's disappearance was discovered Thursday morning at the home of the man's nephew, police said.

A body was found hours later in the 17300 block of Cucamonga Road in Chino, apparently after Victor Lopez agreed to lead detectives to the area. The body had not been positively identified by late Thursday, and a cause of death was still being investigated.

Detectives arrested the man's 37-year-old nephew, Joseph Rodriguez, of Huntington Park, Thursday morning on suspicion of being an accessory to a felony.

Lopez has been arrested on suspicion of homicide, police said.

Carlos Ramos, the missing woman's brother, said investigators told him the couple was involved in an altercation before the disappearance.

"The truth is too terrible to grasp but this is something I'm going to live with the rest of my life," Ramos said.

After Rodriguez’s 7 a.m. arrest, Huntington Park police found Victor Lopez in the 6500 block of Albany Street. Lopez attempted to run from officers, but he was detained and transported to the Huntington Park Police Department, according to a police statement.

Aerial video showed police tape around two sport utility vehicles on Albany Street. Huntington Park is about 50 miles west of Fontana.

The pair was believed to be in Lorna Lopez's 2004 dark blue Chevrolet Suburban Tuesday morning when they were reported missing.
