Three Cars Destroyed in South LA Morning Blaze

Several cars were destroyed in an early-morning fire in front of an apartment building in South Los Angeles Sunday.

Arson investigators were trying to determine the cause of the blaze that happened at 4 a.m.  near the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and 108th Street, officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Plumes of smoke filled the sky while flames roared within inches of the housing complex.

It took firefighters 15 minutes to knock down the fire that engulfed the three vehicles parked in front of the building.

Injuries were not reported.
