Four people were shot, including two girls, at a gathering in Compton Sunday morning, officials said.
All four of the victims were in stable condition, though one of the girls underwent surgery after she was shot in the upper torso, according to a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman.
At least 30 people were at the home where the shooting was reported, just before 12:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Alondra Boulevard, but it was not immediately clear what led to the shooting, according to a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman.
Details were not available about all the shooting victims. One girl, 8 years old, was was shot in the lower body and was in stable condition at a local hospital.
The two men who were also struck were also taken to a local hospital.
