Hollywood Boulevard near the Dolby Theatre is closed for more than a week as construction crews prepare the streets outside for the Oscars
Until Tuesday morning, Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive is closed to traffic, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced. Crews are raising bleachers, risers and stages for press and fans.
The Oscars are being held Sunday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m. PST, with Neal Patrick Harris hosting the movie awards gala.
Alleys north and south of the closed-down block of Hollywood Boulevard are also shut through Tuesday at 6 a.m., along with sidewalks on Orange Drive immediately north of Hollywood Boulevard.
Many more streets will close on the day of the awards show, affecting three blocks of Highland Avenue and other nearby streets.
Full details and maps of the closures are available here: oscars.org/closures.
