Looking for roses and a deal, a steady rush of people crowded into a downtown Los Angeles flower wholesaler Friday morning, less than 24 hours before Valentine's Day.
California Flower Mall was going to st for 36 straight hours Friday through Saturday, Feb. 14. The 50,000-square-foot wholesaler gathers different flower vendors selling bouquets of all different kinds and colors.
Normally each vendor charges a $2-$5 entry fee, but those are being waived through 6 p.m. Saturday.
Mitchell Cooper drove down from Simi Valley to be at the store.
"What a $20 bouquet costs here is at least what at $50 bouquet costs somewhere else," said Cooper, who wasn't sure what to get his girlfriend -- as long as they're "not wilted roses."
