Bruce Jenner Through the Years: Olympics to TV Fame

Once an American hero for dominating the iron-man Olympic sport, the decathlon, Bruce Jenner's post-athletic life intertwined with Hollywood after marrying into the Kardashian family. They would eventually star in their own reality show, bringing Jenner back into the spotlight.

1976 — Bruce Jenner set a record in winning the decathlon at the XXI Summer Olympics in Montreal Canada. They were his second Olympic games.

1981 — Jenner joined the cast of TV's "ChiPs" as Officer Steve McLeish, appearing in six episodes, according to IMDB.

1984 — Jenner had nose surgery and a partial face-lift

1991 — Jenner married Kris Kardashian. He became stepfather to Kris' four children: Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob, from Kris's previous marriage to Robert Kardashian.

1995 — Jenner and Kris attended O.J Simpson's double-murder trial. Robert Kardashian was one of Simpson's lawyers.

2007 — "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," the family's breakout reality series following the lives of the Jenner-Kardashian family, premiered in October.

2010 — General Mills unveiled Wheaties boxes that featured Winter Olympic athletes throughout history. Jenner is among the athletes selected.

2013 — Jenner and Kris separated after 22 years of marriage.

2014 — Kris filed for divorce, saying she and Jenner remained friends.

2015 — Jenner was at the wheel of an SUV involved in a fatal four-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, authorities said.
