Police were searching for a surgical mask-wearing gunman who killed a man in his 50s in front of a San Pedro auto repair shop Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday on Fifth Street near Pacific Avenue. The victim was getting out of his car in front of the business when the masked man gunned him down, Los Angeles police Lt. John Pasquariello said. The suspect fled on foot.
